Photographers meet

The Chilliwack Camera Club meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month (Feb. 13) at 7 p.m.. The location has moved to the Slesse Room at Evergreen Hall, 9291 Corbould Street. The next meeting is Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. All levels of photographers are welcome. For more information visit www. chilliwackcameraclub.com.

Garden Club meets

The Chilliwack Garden Club is welcoming new members, whether they live in an apartment, townhouse or house. Members have more than 265 combined years of gardening experience in producing both vegetables and flowers. The club meets the second Wednesday of every month at Cooke's Presbyterian Church, at 45825 Wellington Ave, at 7: 30 p.m. Enter the meeting room from the parking lot. The next meeting is Feb. 13, when Dr. G. Marien will speak about seeds. Annual fee is $25.

Teen games night

The Chilliwack Library hosts a games night for teens Feb. 14 from 5 to 8: 30 p.m. with games like Apples to Apples, Escalation, Zombie Brains and more. For more information, email Susan at sjbarclay@telus.net.

Lace Club meets

The Chilliwack Lace Club meets every month on the second and fourth Thursdays (Feb. 14) from noon to 3 p.m. in the Slesse Room of Evergreen Hall. Bring your lunch. Society needs volunteers

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. urgently needs volunteers in Chilliwack to handle growing demand. With the need for assistance soaring, help from volunteers is critical for the non-profit. The need locally right now is for volunteers who can facilitate a local support group which meets each month. Acoustic jams

Country acoustic jam sessions are held every Saturday at the Chilliwack Seniors Recreation Centre, at 9400 College St., from 7 to 11 p.m. All musicians and friends are welcome. Bring your own instrument. Members $3 and non-members $5. For more information contact Rod or Marnie 604-792-1168.

Seniors bus trips

The Chilliwack & District Senior Resources Society has a full slate of upcoming bus trips including: a trip to see the Harlem Globetrotters in Abbotsford on Feb. 15; a visit to the Northwest Flower and Garden Show in Seattle on Feb. 20; and a trip to Seattle's Great Wall Mall and Ikea on Feb. 25. Family resource fair The Chilliwack Society for Community Living hosts its first Family Resource and Information Fair Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mathie-son Centre, 45195 Wells Rd. Free, with refreshments Representatives from a variety of organizations that serve the community will be on hand. Gather in a casual environment, and meet other parents with similar journeys.

Peter and the Wolf storytime

Children and families will enjoy a special musical presentation of Peter and the Wolf featuring music from students from Chilliwack senior secondary Feb. 16 from 1 to 2 p.m at the Yarrow Library.

Feng shui workshop

Pagans meet

The Fraser Valley/Chilliwack Pagan and Spiritual Paths Group meets every Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Dragon Dynasty Restaurant at 46171 Yale Rd. The group welcomes all pagan, wiccan, First Nations and other spiritual paths, including those of mainstream faiths.
