Middle-aged man exposes himself to two young girls

Girls were playing at McCammon school grounds

Mounties have called in a sketch artist after they say a middle-aged man exposed himself to two young girls playing at McCammon elementary school Saturday.

Two 10-year-old girls were playing on the school grounds around 1: 30 p.m. Saturday when a man approached them, exposed his genitals and began touching himself in front of the children.

The man left the scene on a black bicycle.

The case is obviously disturbing and concerning for police, RCMP spokesperson Const. Tracy Wolbeck said.

"It was the middle of the day on a bright and sunny day, and the suspect was not deterred by the thought of an adult seeing his actions."

The man was described as being white, in his forties, with grey hair and a short grey beard. He wore a blue T-shirt and black pants.

The girls and their families have been offered assistance by RCMP Victim Services, Wolbeck said. Police have also enlisted an artist to try and compose a composite sketch of the suspect. No image has been released yet.

- Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
