Much to learn from seniors

Re: "PAR for the Course" by Cornelia Naylor, Jan. 17 Chilliwack Times.

It is with great sadness, and alarm, that I read the statement by Jake Harms that, "They don't really want to talk to adults. Adults are from a different generation. They are not going to understand."

Can no one get through to these young people, that the adults went through the same situations in their lives, and have learned from their experiences, hence have a lot of knowledge, understanding and advice to share with these young people. They understand a lot more than you apparently realize.

Please, young people at the Education Centre, wise up and realize what you are saying. Take advantage of the seniors' life experiences, interview them, listen to what they have to say and learn from them.
