A 27-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident near Agassiz on Labour Day Monday.

The BC Coroners Service confirmed that Gregory Michael Yusik of Langley was travelling west on the Lougheed Highway on Mt. Woodside when he failed to negotiate the curve, entered the eastbound lane and struck a car and a second motorcycle that was heading east.

Yusik died at the scene.

The 41-year-old Chilliwack driver of the car was uninjured, and the driver of the second motorcycle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Chilliwack General Hospital for treatment.

Fraser Valley Traffic Services is investigating this collision and has requested the RCMP's Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstructionist Services (ICARS) and the BC Coroners Service to assist.
