Chilliwack's most prolific music maker will be honoured by the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce in January with the Stan Rogers Legacy Award.

Trevor McDonald was chosen as the winner of the award as the Chamber announced finalists in the 16 categories for the Business Excellence Awards at the Dec. 20 Chamber Connections gathering.

“To be a volunteer and a good corporate citizen, one must be able to bring people together to accomplish a common goal," the judges said about McDponald in a press release. "The recipient of this year’s Stan Rogers Legacy Award has embodied these attributes incredibly well. The love of one’s community means that everyone works toward a common goal to bring success and a sense of pride to each event."

McDonald is well-known in the entertainment world in Chilliwack as the main man behind the music at the summer's Party in the Park, as well as acting as the main attraction at countless events and shows in the city.

"When it comes to promoting Chilliwack and its community events, there is one person that is sure to be front and center much of the time.”

The Stan Rogers Legacy Award is sponsored by the Legacy Pacific Group of Companies.
