Chilliwack Players Guild is presenting a Canadian Classic—Anne of Green Gables: The Musical at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre April 24 to May 3.

Based on the beloved novels by L.M. Montgomery, the musical tells the story of Anne winning the hearts of elderly siblings that were expecting to adopt a boy.

Anne will be Emily Hamel’s first large-scale musical as a director.

Sue Klinck is producing her third Players Guild production. Pauline Dynowski, usually on stage, has lent her choreographic talents creating fun energetic dance numbers.

Larrisa Blenkarn pulled together the amazing vocals supported by Christine Millar’s orchestra and hopes to make this show a hit.

On stage there is a blend of talents and range of ages with Sarah Stewart as the lovable Anne and mesmerizing the audience with her incredible dancing, acting and singing talents. Tina Sharkey and Arne Larson bring the brother/sister adoptive family to life. Zachary Power and Elizabeth Seaman play Anne’s friends.

With a cast of 42, orchestra of 16 and production crew of 58—all volunteers—starting work in early November, The Players Guild is happy to offer professional-like theatre with at-home prices.
