Students from all over the Upper Fraser Valley descended on the University of the Fraser Valley's still shiny and new Trades and Technology Centre March 14 for the B.C. Skills Canada regional skills competition. Aspiring trades students faced off in events ranging from cooking to cabinetmaking and welding to computer animation in a bid to qualify for the provincial skills competition at Tradex in Abbotsford April 17.
