How totally unkind is a system that declares breast cancer patients not entitled to disability coverage? ( The High Cost of Cancer, Times, Nov. 13).

The pain of surgery, the horrific side effects of the treatments. In a time of health care cutbacks, this has to be one of the cruelest cuts of all.

Our daughter is a breast cancer survivor. I know exactly how debilitating breast cancer is.
