They're back with an all-new show shimmying across stages in Las Vegas, New York, Vancouver, Berlin, Seattle, Victoria . . . and Chilliwack.
Cheesecake Burlesque Revue returns to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre with its special brand of glitter, glamour and giggles on Nov. 16 at 7: 30 p.m.
The Cheesecake Burlesque Revue girls are a little spice, a lot of nice and just a touch of naughty.
With names like Betsy Bottom Dollar, Lolly Lushbottom and Mz B Haven, the sparkly ladies of the Cheesecake Burlesque Revue know how to get a crowd on their feet and cheering with their spectacular stage show. Ranging from cute and sweet, geeky-chic, rock n' roll, to classy and elegant, the girls are well known for their high-energy acts, stand-out performances, comedic timing, dazzling costumes and girl-next-door accessibility.
Armed with sequins, glamour and sass, the ladies of the Victoria-based Cheesecake Burlesque Revue are all about the positive and are selling out theatres all over British Columbia.
Joining forces in 2006, the ladies came together with the desire to create an environment where they could cast off the shackles of their nine-to-five jobs and have some fun. Their passion for performance blossomed into an energetic troupe that inspires as well as entertains. Any student, veterinary technician, environmental consultant or civil servant you meet may have been out the night before performing for fundraisers, entertaining a crowd or helping add some sass to an event.
Loaded with empowering performances, these brazen girls are on a mission to perform burlesque with confidence and cheeky playfulness. Appealing to a wide range of ages and backgrounds, the Cheesecakes draw to their shows a mostly female fan base ranging from their 20s to 70s. The Cheesecake Burlesque Revue puts on a wild and wicked show designed to inspire and encourage audience members.
Influenced by cult classics like Priscilla Queen of The Desert and Broadway favourites like Guys and Dolls to imaginative roller coasters like their original Cheesecakes in Space, these girls put on one heck of a show.
