My father was an Air Canada mechanic for more than 30 years. He had no university education.
Over a decade ago one of his sons, a vice-president of a provincial hydro Crown Corporation, was showing him the new towers to support hydro lines. My father commented "they are going to fall over."
"No they're not," replied his son with all confidence in the professionals' expert in these matters. Those using anticipartation (new word) know the towers fell over.
Do people need qualifications to express opinions, challenge proposals or actions?
