The Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce is hosting a meeting next week about the local impacts of Metro Vancouver's planned garbage incinerator.

Jessica Morrison, a Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) environmental services co-ordinator, will give a presentation to explain what the potential impacts of a garbage incinerator in Metro Vancouver for the Chilliwack area will be, and why Chilliwack needs to say "no" to Bylaw 280 and the incinerator.

The meeting is set for June 2 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Vineyard Community Centre located at 45873 Wellington Ave. in Chilliwack. Doors open at 5 p.m.
