A man found with drugs, a gun and explosives in a Nowell Street apartment building a year ago will not go to jail.

Michael Wayne Kelly faced seven charges after he was one of three arrested following raids on two apartments on June 5, 2013.

Kelly originally faced a number of charges including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, making or possessing explosives, careless use of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

He was found guilty of one trafficking charge and the two firearms charges.

Kelly was handed an 18-month conditional sentence in Chilliwack court on June 9, in addition to one year probation and a mandatory 10-year firearm ban.
