Arrest made after robberies

Surrey Mounties have nabbed a robbery suspect alleged to be a man of many disguises.

Robert John Paton, 32, was arrested in Whalley on Tuesday evening, wanted on four outstanding robbery warrants out of Vancouver.

He is also a suspect in robberies committed recently in Surrey, Langley and Burnaby.

Police alleged that Paton likes to disguise himself with wigs, glasses and other props, and that he has threatened employees with violence.

"This apparent 'master of disguise' initially tried to conceal his true identity from our officers," Cpl.

Bert Paquet said. "However, they easily saw through his deceptive ways and took him into custody without incident."
