"If the you make a mistake, it's just the wood telling you it doesn't want to be carved that way." Sto:lo carver Dwayne Malloway passes on some advice he got from his own mentors to a group attending a presentation on traditional cedar carving at the Sto:lo Resource Center last month. The presentation was part of the centre's Cultural Experience Series. Coming up on Nov. 24 is a presentation by Bonnie Krulicki who will talk about preserving the Sto:lo language through art. A program starts at 11 a.m. with a traditional welcome.
