A Surrey man has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with an attack on a Burnaby man outside a restaurant on Kingsway Avenue in 2011. Steven Archibald Mander, 25, was arrested on Dec. 13 for the May 22, 2011 assault in the 7100-block of Kingsway.

"Members from the Burnaby Serious Crime Unit worked tirelessly on this investigation," said Supt. Derren Lench. "For a police officer there is no better outcome than contacting the victim and their family to let them know that the person allegedly responsible has been arrested."
