A Chilliwack man has been charged with the attempted murder of his roommate.

Mounties say they responded to a 9-11 call in the 46700 block of Yale Rd. on Jan. 14 just before midnight.

Upon arriving, police found and arrested a man who they allege assaulted his roommate, a 47-year-old woman. Matthew David Alderman, 24, has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault. He remains in custody pending a court appearance on Jan. 29.
