Police have already caught the suspected crook. Now they're just looking for the victim.

An elderly woman was near the corner of Yale Road and Nowell Street in downtown Chilliwack, police say, when a younger woman tried to steal her purse.

A struggle ensued during which the elderly woman was pushed to the ground but, with the help of a witness, managed to retain her purse.

Mounties have arrested a suspect but are still looking for the victim, who was last seen walking down Wellington Street. She is described as wearing brown pants, a blue toque and using an able-walker. Anyone with information is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-7924611.
