A search is under way on Little Mountain a missing Chilliwack teen who hasn't been seen since Tuesday morning.

Police say Kai Rivers, 15, was last seen walking on Macken Avenue Tuesday at 7 a.m. Chilliwack Search and Rescue and RCMP officers are searching for Rivers on Little Mountain, where it's believed he may have been headed, intending to hike.

"The weather conditions continue to worsen and the police and Kai's family are very concerned for his safety," RCMP spokesperson Const. Tracy Wolbeck said. "We need anyone with any information about Kai to call and let us know as soon as possible."

Rivers is described as five-foot-nine, 120 pounds, with dirty blond short curly hair. He has brown eyes, with his left eye slightly off centre, police say. He has a tattoo of a pit bull on one arm and a tribal skull on another.
