RCMP tight-lipped on body found in Fraser

A body was pulled from the Fraser River Monday morning, but the identity of the person is not yet known. A fishing guide operating his boat near the confluence of the Fraser and Harrison rivers spotted the floatiing body Monday. With the help of Kent Search and Rescue members, Mounties retrieved the body.

Police are saying little yet.

"The coroner's office is investigating in order to positively identify the body," RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Tammy Hollingsworth said. She said that could take some time and more information, including about the identity of the victim, "will not be released until positive identification is made and next of kin notification has been completed."
