Police are looking for the man who robbed a Promontory convenience store last week.
Mounties say a man with his face covered entered Teskey Market around 6: 30 p.m., produced a knife and demanded money.
The robber left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is described as six feet tall, with a heavy build. He wore a grey hooded jacket, black pants, a black toque.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Thought screwdriver was a weapon
Another supposed robbery last week was, in fact, a false alarm triggered by a suspicious screwdriver.
Police cars descended on a Chilliwack bank Thursday morning after a greeter saw something suspicious in the back pocket of a man.
The greeter relayed the suspicion to her manager, who called 9-1-1.
The man completed his transaction and left the bank. He drove away, but was swarmed by RCMP officers, who found a square-head screwdriver in the man's back pocket.
