The inaugural Harrison Beer Festival last weekend at St. Alice Hall at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort was well-attended and generally considered a success.

Fifteen craft brewers from the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and around British Columbia were in Harrison Hot Springs to pour samples of their finest creations.

Home-brewing supporters Fraser Valley Hop & Grain also had a booth, as did the Agassiz-Harrison Museum, which focused on the hop-growing history of the area.

Chilliwack's Old Yale Brewing Co. poured Sasquatch Stout, Sergeant's IPA and their new Chilliwack Blonde.

Event organizers expect the festival to be an annual one so visit www.harrisonbeerfest.com in the coming year to keep up to date.
