The owners of a home from which a 14-month-old girl was taken to hospital and later died are not suspects in her death.
The child was found in medical distress in a home in the 46000-block of Mullins Road on Sept. 20 after police received a 911 call.
She was taken to hospital as doctors tried to revive her, but she died at about 11 p.m.
Foul play is suspected and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is working the case.
A man was arrested in connection with the death but was released without charges on Sept. 21.
There have been no further arrests.
On Monday, IHIT spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Pound clarified that police could “confirm that the victim and suspect are not associated to this residence and the homeowners are not, nor were they ever, considered suspects in the baby’s death.”
An autopsy has been completed, but results are still pending.
Pound told reporters at the time of the incident that the girl was an only child and her parents were deeply distraught.
