For the second time in a month, Mounties raided an alleged drug trafficking operation in the same downtown Chilliwack apartment building.
Seeking evidence of crack cocaine dealing, Mounties executed a search warrant Sept. 14. at an apartment unit in the 46000 block of Princess Avenue.
Police say they found crack, marijuana and "evidence related to the sale of drugs" in the unit. A 48-year-old woman and 51-year-old man were arrested at the scene.
Mounties say crack cocaine appeared to have been cooked at the unit, leading the City of Chilliwack to remove the apartment's occupancy permit.
Drug trafficking charges have been recommended against the woman. She's slated to appear in court Dec. 17.
Less than a month prior, Mounties had searched another unit in the same complex. That case also involved alleged drug dealing.
