Unbeaten takes time

It took the longest game in their Canada West history, but the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) Cascades women's basketball squad beat the University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds 88-82 Saturday to remain unbeaten on the season.


 

Women's hoopsters are hot

The Cascade women's basketball team recorded two huge wins over UBC last weekend, beating the Thunderbirds 76-48 Friday and then 88-82 in double overtime on Saturday in Vancouver. The Cascades improve to a perfect 6-0 in the Pacific Division of CIS Canada West.

The University of the Fraser Valley women's basketball team raised more than $1,500 at the annual Shoot for the Cure recently. The Cascades team sold pink mittens, lapel pins, ribbons, water bottles, pens and T-shirts with the logo designed by the WBCA.
