National Rewind Your VCR Day Comes to Vancouver, Jan. 5. The Rewind specialty channel that airs classic movies from the 1970s, '80s and '90s will donate $25 for each VCR donated to World Wildlife Fund Canada. Visitors to the Rewind booth can complete a ballot for a chance to win $2,000. Rewind hopes to raise $25,000 for WWF while preventing VCRs from ending up in landfills. The event happens at Pacific Centre Mall, 701 West Georgia St. during regular shopping hours. Rewind won't issue tax receipts for donated VCRs.
