Who is this Richard Ajabu, who is so concerned about children learning about Christianity, grace and forgiveness in Christ?
I would believe that by his vehement objection of Gideon Bibles being introduced into the schools, with the consent of parents, something has aggravated him to the point of having written, to have the trustees fired, as they do not conform to his idea of what children should be taught. Isn't this rather dictatorial?
As parents, whether relgious or not, both pay taxes to have children educated.
Secular means worldly, relating to things of the world, or things not sacred. I think I would be rather frightened to have my children enrol in a school which teaches things like that it is OK to steal, or to covet, and in general hate one's fellowman and only seek one's own interests plus instant self-gratification. All of these things are related to wordliness or secularism.
To seek to have the school board trustees fired, certainly does not show a love of one's neighbour.
Twelve or more years of secular schools indoctrinating them in secular humanism is indeed brainwashing. While most escape with their wits intact, the most weak minded end up being atheists.
I close with this quotation by Marshal McLuhan
"The reason schools and universities are so full of knowledge, is because the students come with so much and leave with so little."
