Chilliwack hockey cops are tops

The Chilliwack Crime Stoppers hockey team won the inaugural Law Enforcement Charity Hockey Challenge in Merritt on the weekend.

The team, which is mostly made up of police officers from the local area, defeated the Langley Devils 5-3 in the championship final on Sunday.

Six teams took part in the event, including Prince George, two teams from Merritt and a provincewide team representing First Nations Policing.

All proceeds from the Challenge went to the B.C. Children's Hospital Foundation.
