The Sardis secondary senior boys basketball team has earned the right to host its first ever Fraser Valley Championship game this Wednesday against Abbotsford's Robert Bateman secondary.

The Falcons captured the eighth seed in the 32-team tournament after scrapping it out in seeding tournament over the weekend.

They defeated MEI 60-57 Thursday before falling 81-48 to provincial number two Walnut Grove Friday.

They then lost to fellow B.C. honourable mentions W.J. Mouat 66-42 Saturday.

Tip off Wednesday against Bateman is at 8 p.m.

Chilliwack secondary will be in tough against Walnut Grove in Langley the same night.

The Storm beat Maple Ridge 65-40 in their first seeding game last Wednesday before losing three straight to Yale (ranked number one in the province) 101-38, Abbotsford Collegiate 77-64 and Bateman 105-80.
