Chilliwack's Jesse and Reece Howden have each posted solid results in recent weeks on the youth downhill skiing circuit.
Jesse, who is in his first year of K1 skiing, posted a pair of fourth-place finishes and a seventh at Sun Peaks earlier this month to qualify for the BC Winter Games at Silverstar in February.
Jesse, 11, kicked off his season with a victory, by 2.5 seconds, at Apex Ski Resort in December.
His older brother Reece posted a fourth-place finish and was the fastest 13-year-old at that race.
He followed that up with a pair of sixth-place finishes and a fourth-place standing at Sun Peaks. He skis next at the provincial championships at Apex, where he will try to qualify for the second year in a row for the Whistler Cup, a world cup race for athletes aged 11 to 14.
