Singers interested in brushing up on their choral skills should come out on Feb. 11 as the Chilliwack United Church Choir is sponsoring a Choral Intensive workshop geared to developing choral techniques and fellowship with clinician Paula Quick, voice department head at the Chilliwack Academy of Music and director of the award-winning Chilliwack Festival Chorus, Chilliwack Women's Chorus and Chilliwack Intergenerational Chorus.

The day will be comprised of specialized warm-up techniques, in-depth preparation of selected sacred and secular community chorus repertoire, refreshment breaks, voice production, a voice technique break-out session, a healthy lunch and a video recording of the final choral product.

Quick is well known within Canada for her skills as a singer, adjudicator, voice instructor, composer, arranger and choral conductor, and she is very excited about the prospect of sharing her experience and knowledge with singers in the region.

The workshop runs Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3: 30 p.m., and the final choral production will be at 3 p.m. at Chilliwack United Church, 45835 Spadina Ave. Northwest Music is sponsoring the Choral Intensive Workshop and providing all the music.

This production will be open to the public for their listening pleasure.
