Eight-year-old Isaac Bruneski couldn't have been happier Saturday when he found out his family trip to Saskatchewan had been called off.

It's not that he wasn't looking forward to it; it's just that he found out he and his whole family are jetting off to Disney World in Florida this week instead.

The trip is a gift from the Sunshine Foundation, a charity that provides individual dreams to children with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses, and a crowd of friends and family were on hand at Winners in the Chilliwack Mall to cheer and cry as Sunshine Bear presented Isaac with his dream come true.

"I'm so happy for them," said his grandfather Jim Trimble in tears.

The trip couldn't come at a better time for Isaac, a Sardis elementary student who has cerebral palsy, or his family: mom Sarah, dad Chad, six-year-old sister Sydney and four-year-old brother Cade.

"He had a really tough year medically last year," Sarah told the Times, "and the kids sometimes miss out on things because we don't want to not include Isaac, so we tend to do things that we can do as a family, so they miss out on some experiences."

She was overwhelmed by the support of friends and family on Isaac's special day.

"It was so cool to have all of the people that love him here today," she said, tearing up. "We're very blessed to have amazing friends and family. And for the Sunshine Foundation to do something like this is mind-blowing."

The Bruneski's left on their six-day, all-expenses-paid trip Tuesday.
