In regards to the letter "Better safe than sorry with water" by D. Baum, Times, March 14.
I am writing strictly for myself, a person with Crohn's. I'm not getting on a soapbox for anyone else with or without stomach, bowel, or intestinal disorders. I cannot and will not assume that I can.
I have had Crohn's for years before moving to Chilliwack, and learned over that time it was best not to drink tap water. I moved here in 1992, where I soon found I could drink the refreshing tap water and it didn't affect my Crohn's as the other cities in Canada and elsewhere with chlorinated water did and still does. That was one of the best things about living here and why we stayed.
No, I'm not happy about the chlorination of Chilliwack water, very disappointed.
